FLOOR
Quick floor repair for laying floor coverings
The final floor covering is part of the interior and complements it. Which one to choose is a matter of personal aesthetics and the chosen style of arranging the space.
Regardless of whether you are building or renovating, pay special attention to the floors in the interior. Whether the choice fell on parquet, ceramic tile, epoxy resin, stone, laminate or cement glaze, a quality floor construction is important for the floor. It should be firm, flat, dry and, of course, before laying any floor covering it must be clean.
Self-adhesive vinyl floor stickers
The easiest and cheapest way to cover an unsightly floor are self-adhesive vinyl floor stickers, whose name could easily fool us. However, they are extremely professional and powerful and easy to install and remove. Although they are intended primarily for insulation, OSB boards are an inexpensive and safe way to completely cover an unsightly floor, and add warmth to the space that will leave every guest speechless. As a rule, they are 3 to 4 times cheaper than parquet, and installation is easier.
Switching laminates offer a number of application advantages: they are incredibly easy to install, have a rather elegant realistic look and an extremely affordable price. In addition, they are available almost everywhere and designed for all tastes.
Parquet
Parquet is a massive wooden slats of various sizes stacked in different patterns and glued to the substrate. After stacking, the parquet is sanded and varnished several times in the desired shade. Such parquet is very resistant to shocks, an excellent sound and heat insulator, and warm to the touch. The stacking patterns of the slats are innumerable, as are the colors of the varnish. Everything can be chosen, from the natural light color of the wood through reddish shades to the darkest brown, almost black.
The house is built from the ground up, as well as the interior design starts from the floors. Floor coverings are one of the most important items in interior design, primarily because they must meet the criterion of functionality, but also the criterion of aesthetics because they are precisely those large areas that dominate the interior.

Cement floors
Cement floors are fully customizable and provide a great alternative to traditional floors such as linoleum, carpet, wood, tile, stone or marble. The choice of colors, textures, patterns and finishing options combine for unlimited design possibilities.
In addition, concrete is extremely durable, long-lasting and easy to maintain. If your home or business space has existing concrete substrates, exposing them and applying a decorative approach is considered to be an environmentally friendly option as well.
Application of cement floors
Cement floors can be used almost everywhere. The kitchen, for example, is used a lot, so it is necessary to have the most durable floor surface. Concrete can withstand almost unlimited traffic of people and elements to which kitchen floors are exposed, and it does not have an endless possibility of shaping. In addition, there are no joints or grouting lines where dirt or spilled liquid would be retained, so cleaning is easy.
The same goes for bathrooms, if you are looking for a floor that will be durable, resistant to moisture and water, as well as easy to maintain – concrete is a great choice for you.
Concrete is an extremely good choice for floors due to its resistance to moisture in areas that are usually susceptible to moisture and possible flooding. With concrete, you can avoid problems with mold and potentially damaged damp carpet or wooden floors that are otherwise in such places.
One of the main advantages of a decorative concrete floor is its availability compared to other options, especially if you already have a concrete base that is ready for painting, polishing or applying a coating or layer.
Cement flooring is solid, adaptable, easy to maintain, affordable and in the long run an unavoidable attractive choice.

Screed
Screed is an element of building construction that is performed as a rule in thicknesses of 3-8 cm, as bonded, floating, or “heated”. The last few decades have been marked by the accelerated construction of commercial and residential buildings or the adaptation of existing ones. On the other hand, the deadlines for the execution of works and installation of final floor coverings, which are more or less sensitive to too much residual moisture or the appearance of cracks and their transfer to the final floor covering, are becoming shorter. Finally, the result of such accelerated construction and/or non-use of special additives or hydraulic binders and/or their inadequate application is often the cause of complaints.
Dry floors, dry glazes, drywall screed, dry screed, or floating floors do not need to be dried, so work can begin immediately after the adhesive has dried.
DRACO® FLOOR 130 is a self-leveling cementitious mass with special additives used for leveling and smoothing rough floor surfaces. It is applied in a thickness of 3 to 30 mm in one working step. According to standard EN 13813, it is classified as CT-C35-F7-A2fl. It is suitable for leveling cement and anhydrite screeds, screeds with underfloor heating and over existing floor coverings.
U nastavku pročitajte kako pravilno koristiti DRACO® FLOOR 130;
- Thoroughly clean the substrate. Remove oil, grease, dust and similar contaminants. The cement screed and all loose joints should be completely removed.
- The moisture in the substrate must achieve the required values for the final layer. Increasing irregularities in the substrate must be filled with an adequate DRACO® FIX product.
- Smooth and non-absorbent substrates such as ceramic tiles must be cleaned and coated with DRACO® PRIMO 850 primer and sprinkled with quartz sand.
- Pour 4.75-5.0 l of mixture water into the bowl and slowly add DRACO® FLOOR 130 and mix with the mixing attachment on the drill at low speed until a uniform mixture is achieved. After standing for 2-3 minutes (ripening time), mix the material well again without adding water.
- Apply DRACO® FLOOR 130 with a notched trowel in a single layer 3 – 30 mm thick. The product can also be installed by pumping. After applying the self-leveling compound, it is mandatory to irradiate the hedgehog with a roller to expel all the trapped air.
- When installing on large areas, make sure that the size of the field does not exceed 50 m2, in all critical places (outer corners – fractures in the floor plan and columns) perform inspection joints
As the works often have to be completed in a very short time, it is always desirable to have materials that will shorten the time until the laying of finishes, and special binders, and industrial (ready) dry mixes and chemical additives for screeds are proven solutions that will and enable.
