Polyurethane floors
Parking lot floors
Parking lots are spaces that require a wear-resistant finish and easy maintenance. Such surfaces are subject to high dynamic loads caused by vehicles driving over them and the formation of micro-cracks due to the passage of the vehicle is possible.
Vehicles bring water to the parking lots, and in winter, salt is sprinkled on the roads against icing. For this reason, the floors of all these spaces need to be protected by the use of appropriate materials depending on the load, and the method of use, taking into account the aesthetic appearance of the floor.
In addition to adequately responding to the actions to which they are exposed, industrial floors in car lots must be easy to maintain and durable.
The two-component polyurethane floor DRACO FLOOR 500 is characterized;
- excellent elasticity,
- mechanical and chemical resistance,
- and resistance to temperatures from -40 ° C to + 80 ° C, which satisfies the required conditions for use in refrigerators, garages, and the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
The product can be applied as an anti-dust coating or as a thin-layer or thick-layer floor. To achieve better adhesion of the polyurethane floor, the substrate must be prepared in advance by removing insufficiently strong parts and applying DRACO PRIMO 800 primer. PRIMO 800 and quartz sand prevents the coating from cracking.
To achieve greater mechanical and chemical resistance of the floor, a top coat of DRACO TOP 500 is applied, which can be done by sprinkling quartz sand for an anti-slip finish of the finished floor.
With DRACO systems you do not have to worry, our products will allow you peaceful dreams and quality waterproofed buildings. For all questions, we are at your disposal.
Walk – in freezer floors
Walk – in feezers are exposed to various mechanical loads, aggressive chemicals and temperature shocks. Floors in such spaces must be constructed in accordance with the expected loads.
In addition to adequately responding to the actions to which they are exposed, industrial floors in refrigerators must be easy to maintain and durable. The two-component polyurethane floor DRACO FLOOR 500 is characterized by excellent elasticity, mechanical and chemical resistance and resistance to temperatures from -40 ° C to + 80 ° C, which satisfies the required conditions for use in refrigerators, garages, freezers as well as in the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
Application of DRACO FLOOR 500

In order to achieve greater mechanical and chemical resistance of the floor, a top coat of DRACO TOP 500 is applied, which can be done by sprinkling quartz sand for anti-slip finish of the finished floor.
Unlike widely used floors, industrial floors must meet a number of challenges posed by extreme conditions. From loads measured in tons, through a range of aggressive chemicals, all the way to extreme temperatures.
DRACO experts will be happy to answer all your additional questions.
Floors in food and beverage processing plants
Polyurethane floors are seamless coatings based on several types of polymers. Such surfaces have gained immense popularity, as they are characterized by minimal shrinkage and high strength.
Polyurethane-based coatings have many positive aspects:
- High strength combined with elasticity. A well-laid floor easily withstands static or dynamic shocks.
- The top layer of the floor is difficult to scratch or wipe.
- The service life of the surface can exceed 10 years. At the same time, the floor structure is practically undamaged or changes are minimal.
- Polyurethane does not absorb moisture at all. Therefore, the floor can act as a protective layer for the substrate.
- The structure of the material is smooth and high density, which does not allow the absorption of dirt. This in turn simplifies the maintenance of such surfaces.
- Injury safety. Although the material is smooth to the touch after curing, it is not slippery at all. Therefore, materials of this type cover clusters and sloping surfaces.
- Resistance to high temperatures and aggressive mixtures. Polyurethane floor does not burn, which makes it relatively safe. When heated, the material begins to melt and evaporate, releasing toxic components into the air.
- You can operate the products at low temperatures, but not below -25 degrees.
- Antistatic. Special additives do not allow dust to be attracted to the floor surface.
- Adequately respond to the actions to which they are exposed, for this reason, they are suitable in food and beverage processing plants.

The process of food and beverage processing must take place smoothly and without unnecessary costs. It is understandable that the floors are not an absolute priority for the investor, ie the factory owner, but the impact of costs incurred due to deterioration or unsatisfactory functionality of the floor can be very large.

Floors for public and business premises
In recent years, there has been a noticeable practice of increased implementation of industrial floors in public and private spaces. These are surfaces that require easy maintenance, durability, functionality, but also have an aesthetic appeal.
When it comes to the warehouses for the food industry, or refrigerators, we recommend using DRACO FLOOR 500, which is a polyurethane two-component, self-leveling coating for floors, solvent-free.
The product is characterized by mechanical and chemical resistance and permanent elasticity. As for epoxy floors and polyurethane flooring can be performed as a thin-layer or thick-layer, and as a smooth or anti-slip (filled with quartz). This type of floor is suitable for production and processing plants, floors of cold chambers and storage, food and pharmaceutical plants, schools, kindergartens, hospitals and other public and health institutions as well as sports facilities.
Execution of polyurethane floor
Prior to construction, it is necessary to prepare the substrate, which means removing insufficiently strong parts, repairing the surface and coating with DRACO PRIMO 800. DRACO FLOOR 500 can be applied by lifting on the walls, at the contact of the floor with the walls and quartz sand to avoid cracking the coating.
Depending on the requirements, additional anti-slip floor can be achieved by sprinkling quartz sand in the first coat of the top coat.
With DRACO systems you don’t have to worry, your floors will be well waterproofed and safe to use. For all questions, we are at your disposal.
